Protect your chickens from frost while automatically monitoring their water supply
In winter, water is often the first issue in a chicken coop. Frost can quickly make the waterer unusable, depriving the poultry of permanent access to water.

More info
The SmartCoop Kerbl waterer heater with level sensor was designed to solve this problem while providing additional safety with its water level monitoring system.
Connected to the SmartCoop control unit, it not only prevents the water from freezing but also alerts you when the level becomes insufficient.
Your chickens thus have continuous access to drinking water, even during periods of extreme cold.
Water available even in winter
The SmartCoop heater maintains a sufficient temperature around its heating element to prevent ice formation in the waterer.
Even when outside temperatures drop below freezing, your poultry continues to have accessible water.
This way, you avoid repeated checks and daily interventions to break the ice or replace frozen water.
A sensor that monitors water level
Unlike a simple waterer heater, this module is also equipped with an integrated level sensor.
This sensor continuously monitors the amount of water in the waterer.
When the level becomes insufficient, the information is immediately transmitted to the SmartCoop control unit.
Depending on your setup, you can be notified:
- Directly on the control unit;
- By the SmartCoop indicator light;
- Via the Kerbl app if your system is equipped with the Wi-Fi module.
You know immediately when it's time to refill the waterer.
Additional security during your absences
This system is particularly appreciated by owners who are regularly away.
You maintain control over two essential elements:
- The presence of water in the waterer;
- Protection against freezing.
Your installation continues to operate automatically during your absence, while informing you if intervention becomes necessary.
Perfect integration into your autonomous coop
The waterer heater is an integral part of the SmartCoop ecosystem.
Combined with other modules, it contributes to the complete automation of the coop.
You can thus combine:
- The automatic door;
- LED lighting;
- Temperature management;
- Ventilation;
- The Wi-Fi module;
- The waterer heater.
Your coop gradually becomes an intelligent installation capable of managing the main daily tasks on its own.
Simple installation
The module comes with a connection cable of approximately 200 cm, allowing quick connection to the SmartCoop control unit.
Its installation does not require any complex programming.
Once connected, it is immediately handled by the SmartCoop system.
Compatible with several waterers
The SmartCoop waterer heater is designed to work with the SmartCoop Kerbl waterer.
It can also be used with other compatible waterer models, facilitating its integration into an existing setup.
Compatible exclusively with SmartCoop
This module works only with the SmartCoop Kerbl system.
Note:
It necessarily requires:
- The SmartCoop Kerbl control unit (ref. 70600).
It cannot function alone.
