Use adapted to needs:

• Dry: Ideal for oozing wounds due to its high absorbency. It helps keep the area clean and dry.
• Cold: Provides a beneficial vasoconstrictor effect to relieve pain related to laminitis, bruises, bleeding, or tendonitis. It quickly calms inflammation and reduces swelling.
• Hot: By stimulating vasodilation, it promotes better oxygenation of tissues, accelerates healing, and facilitates drainage. Recommended for abscesses, cracks, swellings, lymphangitis, or bedsores.

Presentation of available formats:

• Classic Animalintex: Box containing 10 individual poultices, dimensions 40 cm x 21 cm.
• Animalintex Hoof (special hoof): Pack of 3 poultices shaped to fit the foot.

A unique formula in 3 complementary layers:

1. Non-woven fabric: placed in contact with the animal's skin, it does not adhere and protects regenerating tissues.
2. Absorbent core: high-quality cotton enriched with boric acid (with antiseptic properties) and tragacanth gum (for good moisture retention and an emollient effect).
3. External polyethylene film: acts as a protective barrier against external aggressions while maintaining the ideal temperature of the poultice.

🟢 Simplified instructions for use:

Before application:

Thoroughly clean the skin. Cut Animalintex to the desired size. Place the poultice with the non-woven side towards the horse and the plastic side outward. Secure with a cohesive band (type X-WRAP).

Depending on the type of application:

• As a dry dressing: Apply directly to the area to be treated.
• As a cold poultice: Soak Animalintex in cold water (boiled then cooled or physiological saline), then apply. Once the poultice is saturated, remove it and gently mold around the targeted area.
• As a hot poultice: Use lukewarm water (about 38°C), then follow the same method as for cold. Ideal in combination with a GAMGEE cotton padding and a support band for optimal bandaging.
